Working closely with Savills Group tax Director on all tax related matters

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Savills UK and Subsidiary VAT return

  • –  Month end Balance Sheet Recs for the VAT accounts
  • –  Maintain the VAT Matrix
  • –  Support VAT Assistant with VAT regulations
  • –  Review the VAT returns
  • –  Monitor and review updates to VAT reportsCorporation Tax returns
  • –  Review tax computations
  • –  Review working spreadsheets for cost analysis
  • –  Submit computations in Alpha Tax
  • –  Liaise with T ax Director on queries
  • –  Transfer pricing BEPS compliancePSA
  • –  Support team in their analysis / queriesIR35
  • –  Point of contact for IR35 process
  • –  Liaise with HR and PayrollDocument processes for the teams tasks Support to the Management Team as required

    Ad hoc duties – in addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.

    Projects – on occasion the team will be asked to assist in ad hoc projects such as the implementation of a new process or system or testing system releases.

    Dynamics AX support – help the team and the wider finance team and business users adopt the new system and processes. Log issues and follow through to ensure the a smooth operating system

    *Team Management – this role requires the successful candidate to manage a team of approximately 3 (2 direct reports/1 indirect report)

    Ensuring the team meet varying deadlines throughout the reporting year, monthly, quarterly and annually.

    Management duties to include (but is not limited to), regular team and individual catch ups, interim and year end appraisals, holiday management and both HR and role related query resolution. Delegation of tasks ensuring work among the team is evenly distributed.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Technical experience:-

 Previous experience in tax reporting Skills and Knowledge

o Good working knowledge of business tax to include VAT, Corporation Tax, and Employee taxes.
o Strong Excel, VLookups / SUMIF / Pivot tables
o Solid double entry and investigation skills
o Strong communication skills / ability to work well with others and explain transactions, liaising with staff

at all levels across the organisation both finance and non-finance users o Strong people & task management skills
o Experience of working in a busy accounts department environment
o Familiarity with month-end routines and strict deadlines
