About the role

We are looking for a process driven, customer obsessed leader. You will be responsible for developing business strategies, such as how we balance our marketplace, onboarding/offboarding experts and identifying operational weaknesses. You will be improving and introducing new processes whilst setting and delivering on business objectives.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be a member of the management team, working collaboratively with marketing and product. We’re looking for team players who are excited to work in an ambiguous fast-paced environment and are prepared to roll their sleeves up. We require an individual who can execute quickly and efficiently whilst wearing many different hats in an ‘all hands on deck’ environment. You will be managing two direct reports.

What you’ll do

  • Grow and optimise the supply-side of the marketplace for B2C and B2B
  • Manage the expert team members, whilst making strategic decisions to prioritise and set objectives
  • Ensure the safety of our users such as experts insurance documents must be in date
  • Support experts’ success by building strong relationships and advising on best internal strategy or tactics for expert revenue growth
  • Dive into marketplace data and expert feedback
  • Identify trends through quantitative and qualitative data, and take action on them
  • Develop tools and dashboards for experts to increase their engagement and retention
  • Rigorous experimentation, playbooking everything to share company wide
  • Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in business decision-making
  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes
  • Build, maintain and communicate detailed reporting
  • Present models, findings and insights to CEO to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure insights inform broader strategic initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, as well as the ability to both plan and execute projects of varying timelines and scope with minimal guidance
  • Get your hands dirty, when needed. We’re a small team and it’s ‘all hands on deck’

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years professional experience; operations, account management, consulting, investment banking; startup experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Process driven with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional organisation and project-management skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Highly self-motivated, possesses strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity as we grow; enjoy developing new processes
  • Positive attitude and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Ability to gain trust and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
  • A strong customer-centric attitude, always thinking about how our community interact with the brand
  • Solid google sheets / data management skills
  • SQL proficiency is a bonus
