Business Development Associate, Private: The Speakers Gym

Remote but with 1 to 2 days per month in London
Part Time, Flexi Time
£25,000 to £30,000 pro rata, plus performance bonus based on a KPI of revenue opportunities generated

What you’ll do:

We’re looking for someone – you – to help drive growth at The Speakers’ gym. You’ll be an integral part of our growth plans, working closely with the company’s directors. The role will primarily be to obtain new clients and foster working relationships within our client base. In addition, you’ll work alongside the rest of the team to develop, maintain and evolve both our market position and proposition.

 

The role encompasses a wide range of duties, including:

  • Ability to identify and qualify real value opportunities
  • Identify key decision-making, influential stakeholders and build positive, persuasive relationships directly with companies
  • Contribute to the revenue growth and hit growth targets
  • Have a good understanding of The Speakers’ Gym’s products and services and be able to advise others about them
  • Support marketing activities
  • Provide regular reports on business development and pipeline activities
  • Working with the the founders to ensure new business materials and case studies are up to date

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven sales track record in Business Development or client services role, generating revenue and hitting targets
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build quick rapport across the required stakeholders
  • Astute commercial acumen, with the capability to understand and prioritise requirements
  • Experience of working with marketing teams to drive leads
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a range of IT systems and can learn new systems and technology quickly
    • Ideally a knowledge of using Bigin or similar CRM systems
  • An alignment with The Speakers’ Gym values

 

Further thoughts:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for people and their development. An interest or background in coaching or counselling will be a great advantage.
